Welcoming
The church should be one of the most hospitable places in the world. If this is your first time or fiftieth time, you are WELCOME IN here. Some of you are just venturing out into the post-quarantine world. We understand and appreciate the situation that you’re in. Or, perhaps this is your first time consider going back to church in a while for any number of reasons. You are WELCOME BACK here. We know that it is hard to feel like we belong. Having no place that makes sense. If you’re seeking or searching, lost or wandering, longing for a place to connect, you are WELCOME HOME here.
Intentional
God uniquely designed all people with intent and for an intended purpose. We want to help you connect to that purpose for your life. Part of that purpose includes: Loving God with purpose. Loving others with purpose. Loving your place with purpose. Our places are wherever we find ourselves: at home, around the neighborhood, at work, at school, in the community, and in the world.
Active
The Bible uses action words, verbs, to describe the life of a follower of Jesus: living, loving, going, serving, making. We believe that there is nothing passive about the life of a believer but a continuing journey of First Steps and Next Steps. We want to help you take those steps of faith, however far down the path you find yourself or even if you’ve never begun. The church doesn’t exist to meet the needs of consumers of religious goods and services, but to equip passionate disciples.It is our hope that by living out the mission of the church we will see an advancement of God’s Kingdom breaking into this world right here in Morehead. God longs for all people to live as He intended from the beginning. We see this life perfectly lived out in Jesus. As we focus on loving others and our places, taking the good news wherever we go, we will see true lasting life change take place in our homes and community.
